My thoughts on this issue are very simple, I agree that some books are to explicit for younger kids but it really does depend on the maturity! Maturity is another big controversy because when does the parent know when to let their kids go and read what they want to read? I believe as long as your kids understand the content in these YA books is strictly based on life and these actions should not be reproduced they will be alright! I think the author wants you to feel a little overwhelmed as to what side to choose between. The author also wants you to think hard on the topic and to pick the side that makes the most sense to you! Overall, this article was interesting because it displays two different sides that are based on your opinions! I think of this article as an interactive article because you choose your side and you use the authors facts to back up your opinion.
